We are looking for a new Head of Engineering to help us maintain our lead as our product suite and customers expand.
Your mission is to lead, scale, and support a world-class engineering team building our next generation of AI-powered surveillance tools. You’ll be responsible for driving execution across multiple initiatives, from real-time video pipelines to AI model integration and platform scalability, while staying close to the code when necessary.
You’ll partner with our Product Managers, customers, and stakeholders to deeply understand requirements, guide technical direction and ensure we deliver high-performance, reliable, and observable systems.
Architecture decisions, code reviews and customer integration, all fall under your purview. You need to be equally comfortable designing systems as you are jumping in to debug a production issue or pair-program on a new feature.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a small, fast-moving company. You’ll wear many hats, shape the team culture, and play a critical role in the company’s success.
We have a fairly modern and light-weight software development process. Our tech stack has a number of services deployed in a single docker compose script including C++/Gstreamer for video processing, Pytorch and YOLO on the AI side, React, TypeScript frontend, Python backend, PostgreSQL database all running on rack mounted servers with GPUs in each.
We built a new stack for Facial Recognition and License Plate Recognition in the space of 6 weeks. Our team of only a handful of developers moves fast despite the challenging variety of problems we face when building ML heavy applications.
