Role Overview
The Implementation and Support Engineer plays a crucial role in deploying, configuring, and supporting our advanced video analytics solutions for clients. This role demands strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of video surveillance and analytics technologies. The ideal candidate will be proactive, customer-focused, and capable of working independently in high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain icetana’s video analytics solutions across diverse client environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of deployed systems.
- Collaborate with System Integrators and clients during installation, configuration, and maintenance phases.
- Provide training to end-users, customers, and system integrators on solution operation and maintenance.
- Localise technical documentation as needed to meet client-specific requirements and regional standards.
- Support System Integrators with solution design, hardware sizing, and network configuration.
- Monitor deployed systems for performance and security, ensuring proactive issue identification and resolution.
- Engage with clients to gather requirements, report on progress, and address any implementation challenges.
Professional Requirements
- Video Surveillance Systems: Experience with concepts including Field of View (FoV), Frame Rate, Bandwidth, detection, and recognition ranges.
- Video Management Systems (VMS): Hands-on experience in design, installation, and deployment, with knowledge of various VMS brands and platforms.
- Video Analytics Systems: Hands-on experience in design, installation, and deployment.
- Networking: Basic knowledge required, with preference for candidates with CCNA certification or equivalent experience.
- Server Deployment and Configuration: Strong understanding of server setup, configuration, and maintenance.
- Linux Operating Systems: Proficiency with Linux-based systems, including troubleshooting and scripting.
- Cloud and Virtualisation Technologies: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-based deployments is a plus.
- Office Tools: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Language Skills
- English: Full professional proficiency required.
